Legacy Jiu-Jitsu Academy, located in Richland, WA, is dedicated to teaching your kids the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Srisuk Muay Thai, and Wrestling.
We provide a family learning environment to kids ages 4 and up. From our kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, Muay Thai classes, and our Open Mat we have something for everyone. Encourage good habits in your children at a young age to bring lifelong benefits!
Kids BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU (BJJ)
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an art, self-defense system, and a fitness program. It has proven to be the most practical and effective self-defense system in the world. It relies on leverage and technique, rather than strength and size. This allows you to defend yourself against much bigger, stronger attackers. As a result, BJJ is a great art for everyone – including women and kids.
Kids Muay Thai
Muay Thai is referred to as “The Art of Eight Limbs,“ as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art. A practitioner of Muay Thai (“nak muay“) thus has the ability to execute strikes using eight “points of contact,” as opposed to “two points” (fists) in Western boxing and “four points” (fists, feet) used in the primarily sport-oriented forms of martial arts.

BJJ is also an intense, aerobic and anaerobic workout so your overall health and fitness will improve, including your flexibility, strength, cardiovascular fitness, ability to burn fat, and muscular endurance.

BJJ focuses on grappling and ground fighting with the goal of getting into a position to force an attacker/ opponent to submit or give up.
Little Bulldogs (4-7)

The Little Bulldogs program is a class designed for kids ages 4-7 years old. The class is broken up in to two groups kids ages 4-5 & kids ages 6-7. These classes are designed to increase body awareness and dexterity all while teaching them the basics of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Kids Martial Arts (8-12)

Our Kids Martial Arts program is made up of two different classes: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Muay Thai. In the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class the kids will learn how to use leverage and technique to defeat a larger and stronger opponent. In Muay Thai class the kids will learn how to throw punches, kicks, knees, and elbows. These classes are designed for kids of all levels where they will lean these martial arts in a fun and engaging environment.
Teen Martial Arts (13-16)

Our Teen Martial Arts program is made up of two different martial arts: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Muay Thai. The Teen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class is designed for teens of all levels to work with one another to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The Teen Muay Thai class is done in conjunction with the adult’s class. The Muay Thai class is designed for teens of all skill levels and abilities.
OPEN MAT Training (4-13)

A moderated training period where students of all levels may practice the skills they have learned during the week through collaboration with their teammates and coaches. Students are encouraged to utilize this time to sharpen their weaknesses through extra drilling and sparring matches.
