LEGACY JIU-JITSU ACADEMY, LOCATED IN RICHLAND, WA, IS DEDICATED TO TEACHING YOU AND YOUR FAMILY THE FUNDAMENTALS OF BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU, AND SRISUK MUAY THAI.
Open since October 2016, LJJA provides a family learning environment to practitioners of all ages and abilities. From our kids' BJJ classes to our Women's-Only Self-Defense training (which is FREE to the community), we have something for everyone ages 5-95!
In addition to our 4,000 sqft of mat space, Boxing Ring, Private Training Space, Men's & Women's Changing Areas with Showers, and Pro Shop (including BJJ GIs, Belts, Boxing Gloves, and Gym Attire), we also offer an exercise equipment and fitness area to our adult members. The workout space is available during regularly scheduled hours.
Meet the instructors
prof. Beau Babb
Professor Beau Babb is a first-degree black belt in the Marcelo Alonso lineage. He has been actively teaching since 2011 and is a highly technical and detail orientated instructor with a wealth of grappling knowledge.
prof. Andreza Morais
Professor Andreza Morais is a black belt under Professor Alan Moraes in the Ares BJJ team. She is an active competitor in the IBJJF and other major Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition circuits. Professor Andreza looks over the Teens & Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs.
Asst. Coach Brendin Phillips
Assistant Coach Brendin Phillips runs the Beginner Kids BJJ programs as well as the adult fundamentals program. He has been actively teaching since 2016 and is an active competitor in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He competes in the local PNW scene and in the IBJJF competition circuit. In 2022 he took second place at the IBJJF Master Worlds tournament.
Asst. Coach Jonathan Bates
Assistant coach Jonathan helps to run the Monday evening int/adv adult BJJ classes. He has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2012 and is an active competitor in local PNW Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu scene.
Asst. Coach Kelton Hungate
Assistant Coach Kelton helps to run the Wednesday evening int/adv adult BJJ classes. He has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2011 and is an active competitor in the local Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Scene.
Asst. Coach Rebekah Norman
Assistant Coach Rebekah (Becks) has training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2016 and has a lot of experience working with the younger kids. She has been a volunteer and an instructor for youths within the Tri-Cities community for over a decade. She works with our Little Bulldogs program (4–7-year-olds).
Muay thai instructors
Kru Brendin Phillips
Kru Brendin is the head instructor for our Muay Thai program. Kru Brendin earned his Kru rank under Master Anupong Saohin Srisuk of Srisuk Muay Thai. Kru Brendin has been instructing Muay Thai since 2017 and brings with him a wealth of striking knowledge. He comes with a background in Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, Karate, & Taekwondo.
Asst. Coach Pierce Williams
Assistant Coach Pierce is the instructor for our Kids Muay Thai program. He is currently a Red Prajiad under Master Saohin and is working towards his Kru Red/White rank.
