Legacy Jiu-Jitsu Academy
Legacy Jiu-Jitsu Academy, located in Richland, WA, is dedicated to teaching you and your family the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Srisuk Muay Thai, and Aikido.
Open since October 2016, LJJA provides a family learning environment to practitioners of all ages and abilities. From our kids BJJ classes to our Women's Only Self-Defense training (which is FREE to the community), we have something for everyone ages 5-95!
In addition to our 4,000 sqft of mat space Boxing Ring Private Training Space Men's & Women's Changing Areas with Showers Pro Shop including BJJ GIs, Belts, Boxing Gloves, Gym Attire, we also offer an exercise equipment and fitness area to our adult members. The workout space is available during regularly scheduled hours.
Meet the instructors
Our head instructor, Beau Babb, is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under The Legion (Marcelo Alonso Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu - Tacoma), owned and operated by Marcelo Alonso Black Belt Shawn Gaspaire.
Professor Breno Bittencourt is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Carlson Gracie Junior Professor Alan Rodrigo de Moraes, from the Carlson Gracie team in Rio de Janeiro. Breno has been training in BJJ since the age of 13. He is a very complete grappler who always medals playing an offensive, forward thinking Jiu-Jitsu. He trains, competes, and coaches full time with Legacy Jiu-Jitsu Academy.
Brendin Phillips is the head Muay Thai instructor Legacy Jiu-Jitsu Academy. He is a certified trainer in Srisuk Muay Thai by Master Saohin Srisuk. Growing up he spent time training in multiple stand up martial arts such as Taekwondo, Western Boxing, and Kickboxing before ultimately finding Muay Thai. He also trains full time and competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Coach Becks has been serving as a volunteer and an instructor to youths within the Tri-Cities community for over a decade! She is a strong advocate for positive youth development programs and is our Head Coach for Legacy's Little Bulldogs BJJ program (4 to 7 year olds). She' been training in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2016, along with spouse and three children.
